♻️ SIA is going green! 🌎

We’re participating in the NexTrex Recycling Challenge, collecting eligible plastic to keep it out of landfills- and we’ve already sent in our first shipment: 14.69 pounds! 🎉

Our goal is 1,000 pounds, which will earn SIA a bench made from recycled plastic!

Thank you to our SIA families for helping us get started. Keep collecting-every pound counts! 💚

It’s September 15, which can only mean one thing—International Dot Day! 🔵

Morah Tiala’s students were greeted by dots all over the EY Art Studio floor that led them to their craft. After following the dots, they gathered together to hear The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds.

Then it was time to create! Using paint and pie pans, the students made their own dots and got very creative. It was so much fun hearing the students describe what their dots looked like! They also used their observation skills to notice what happened when they mixed different colors together.

Who knew one little dot could inspire so much creativity? ✨

Shofar, so good! 🎺✨

Mrs. Brashevitsky transformed our SEL room into an incredible Shofar Museum for our Primary Years students! They had the best time getting hands-on experience—touching, examining, and learning all about the different types of shofars.

It was such a special way to connect with the traditions, and it’s safe to say we are officially ready for the High Holidays! 🍎🍯 Wish our students a happy and sweet upcoming New Year in the comments!

Friday’s Parent Breakfast was such an awesome way to kick off the weekend with our school family!

It was so great seeing parents from both Early Years and Primary Years hanging out over good food and even better conversation. To top it off, we hosted our very first Early Years Family Shabbat right after—and our amazing parents even jumped on stage to help us rock the Shofar Blast song!

We can’t wait to see everyone at all the fun events we have lined up this year. SIA is all about community, and our doors (and arms!) are always open to you. 💙✨

Look who popped up in our SIA garden today! 🐰

While prepping the beds for our new crops, Mr. Joe discovered 3 adorable baby bunnies nestled in the dirt. He took time to show them to our learners and answer all of their fantastic questions.

We love a good hands-on nature lesson! 🌱✨

Student creativity is on full display in these colorful calendars we printed for Strelitz International Academy! Every piece of artwork featured throughout the calendar was created by SIA students.🎨

Serving children from infancy through fifth grade, Strelitz International Academy provides an engaging, inquiry-based education designed to encourage curiosity, critical thinking, creativity, and a global perspective.

These calendars are a great way to showcase the students’ creativity while keeping families connected to important dates and activities throughout the school year.🍎

This morning, our Early Years and Primary Years classes came together to welcome Shabbat! It was such a special, music-filled morning- and even sweeter getting to watch our older and younger siblings celebrate side-by-side. What a perfect way to wrap up our second week of school!
