Yesterday we had some very special visitors at SIA!

Wednesday morning, we welcomed our incredible guest judges — Dr. Ian Persaud, Dr. Jennie Tabakin, and Dr. William Simon — for our third grade Shark Tank competition. Our students have been working so hard on their ideas and presentations, and they did an amazing job showcasing their creativity, confidence, and innovation. We are so proud of them!

In the afternoon, we had the joy of welcoming back alumni as we celebrated and sent off the SIA Class of 2019. It is always so special to see our graduates return to campus. We wish them the best of luck on the next step of their educational journeys and cannot wait to see all they accomplish!

We have seen firsthand how hard you have worked over the past couple of years, and we are so excited to see all of the amazing things you will continue to do. Your passion, dedication, and heart for others inspire our entire community. Mazel tov, Mrs. Brashevitzky!

This morning we had another wonderful Primary Years Mitzvah Fair in honor of Shavuot! Shavuot celebrates the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai and is traditionally celebrated with acts of kindness, learning, and delicious dairy treats. 🌸

Thank you to the Glasser family for sponsoring another incredible fair in memory of Richard Glasser. Richard’s mantra was, “Do the right thing, the right way, for the right reason,” and today’s fair was a beautiful reflection of those values in action. Our students loved the meaningful activities and opportunities to spread mitzvot throughout our community!

Way to go, Elijah!

Elijah has been a valued member of The Hague School Community for the past four years. Elijah has been a highly engaged and respected member of the school community, consistently demonstrating leadership, responsibility, and a sincere commitment to supporting those around him. Through his involvement in Model UN, Mock Trial, and the National Honor Society, he showcased both his intellectual curiosity and dedication to active participation within the community. During his sophomore year, Elijah traveled to Dubai to participate in a Model UN conference, an experience that expanded his global perspective and strengthened his appreciation for international dialogue and collaboration. In the classroom, Elijah stood out as a thoughtful and confident contributor who encouraged meaningful discussion and helped create a respectful, collaborative learning environment for his peers. Elijah will continue his academic journey at the University of Virginia. We wish Elijah continued success in all his future endeavors!

What makes The Hague School special to me? My favorite thing about the Hague School is the way the school allows you to follow your intellectual passions and interests. This had allowed me to further my interest in certain discipline, always making learning a fun experience.

Fun Fact: I have had the opportunity to travel to over 20 countries and all 6 inhabited continents!

Sometimes all we need is a little push from our friends to help us get where we need to go. 💙

Today was a special day!

Our Early Years 4 students invited our fifth graders to their final hallway Shabbat celebration of the school year. The fifth graders had so much fun, and even requested a special “Shabbat Soup” song from when they were in Early Years!

It was such a great walk down memory lane as they head toward graduation in just a couple of weeks.

We are so proud of our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students for their INCREDIBLE Strings Concert today! 🎻✨ Their hard work and dedication all year long shined on stage.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Newman and Mrs. Marlins for putting together such a beautiful performance, and thank you to our SIA parents for supporting your students throughout their violin and music journey. Bravo to all of our performers! 👏
