Windsor Woods Elementary PTA

PTA Meetings this school year are scheduled on the third Thursday of the month at 3:00pm in the Library. These meetings are open to everyone and you are welcome to bring your child(ren) if you cannot attend otherwise. We just ask that the child(ren) try their best to keep the noise levels to a minimum. The set dates are as follows for those who would like to attend:

September 17th,
October 15th,
November 19th,
December 17th,
January 21st,
February 25th,
March 18th,
April 15th,
May 20th.

Virginia’s tax-free weekend is almost here! Here are some Important dates and our schools supply list (list in comments)

Aug 7-9 - tax free weekend
Aug 15 - 12-5pm back to school care fair at Virginia Beach convention center.
Aug 20 - 3-4:30pm open house (cafeteria assembly 3:45 PM)
September 11 - 4:30-6:30 mark your calendars now for our PTA membership drive ice cream social!

The Back-to-School Care Fair!! Saturday, Aug 15 noon to 4 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center!

📣🎉 As the 25-26 school year is coming to a close it was time for the 5th grade moving on ceremony. After the ceremony the PTA was there with cake to help celebrate the special occasion! Congratulations from the PTA!

‼️ Attention Wildcat Families ‼️
As the end of the year is right around the corner, we've got A LOT of lost items in our schools Lost & Found. During Field Day all items were set out so that if any parent or student saw something of theirs they could collect it. If you weren't there to pick up lost items you still have time to get your things. Just drop by the school and let security know you're there for lost & found. All unclaimed items will be donated to charity after June 12th.

Today our Wildcats got to enjoy Field Day! Lots of fun games throughout the school (inside and out!). A special thanks to all of the volunteers who helped the Windsor Woods Elementary School P.E. Department run the different games! Field day wouldn't be the same without the help and a lot of kids loved seeing their families there helping out.

Feel free to share any pictures you may have taken while either volunteering or cheering the kids on! We'd love to see them!

We want to give a big Congratulations to our Scholarship winner this year!

Our winner is Sam Sawyer! He was a Windsor Woods Elementary School student from 2014 to 2019. Graduating from Green Run Collegiate Class of 2026. He'll be attending George Mason University in the fall.

Tonight was the VB Citywide PTA Awards Dinner 2026! Our PTA won two awards and we got to honor our WWES Volunteer of the Year!

First award was the 2025-2026 Membership Increase Award. We received this for increasing the total number of PTA members this year as compared to last year!

Second was the 2025-2026 Cardinal Award. This was thanks to reporting 75% of last years total membership to the state PTA by December first!

And of course, our amazing WWES Volunteer of the Year. Congratulations Elyse Harver! Our super awesome PTA President!

Hey Windsor Woods Families!
We are working with the guidance counselors and the PE staff to try to make the end of the year a little more exciting for our wildcats.
