Last Saturday’s First Landing State Park Hike! 🌥️ 14 hikers took on the Kingfisher Trail on a cloudy and humid morning, but that didn’t stop the fun! Great company, plenty of laughs, and some beautiful scenery along the way. And of course, Archer 🐾 stole the show and happily posed for the camera. 😂 Thank you to everyone who came out, and a big thank you to Samantha for hosting another great hike! ❤️🥾🌿

We had a great evening yesterday for our Patriot Day Memorial Bridge Walk at the Jordan Bridge in Chesapeake. 🇺🇸 We had 41 members and one cute doggie join us for a 3.25-mile walk, including several new faces! The views over the Elizabeth River were beautiful as the sun went down and the lights came on. Most importantly, we walked together to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the courage and sacrifice of all who served. Thank you to everyone who came out and made it such a meaningful evening. ❤️🤍💙

After work, I grabbed my dog and squeezed in a quick walk at Marshview Park—and good grief, it felt like a toaster oven out there! 🥵🔥😂 We didn’t stay out long, but we did spot this absolutely gorgeous luna moth along the way. 💚🌙 Sometimes the shortest walks bring the coolest surprises! 🌿👟❤️

Bring the kids and hit the trail! 🌿🥾 Join East Coast Hikers for our Kid-Friendly Weekend Family Hike at Northwest River Park on Saturday, September 19 at 9 AM! This one is for adults with kids, so expect little legs, an easygoing pace, breaks, and plenty of family fun. The trail is unpaved but wide with few inclines. All ages are welcome! ❤️ FREE event 🆓 Free parking + no park entrance fee.

What a beautiful evening at Oak Grove Lake Park! 👟🌿 Getting there was an adventure all by itself—traffic after work yesterday was HORRIBLE! 😩 But 12 of us and two adorable pups made it out for two laps around the lake and a solid 3.5 miles! 🐶❤️ And that sunset was definitely worth sticking around for. 🌅 Thanks to everyone who came out—we’ll see you next week! Just a heads-up: after the time change in November, I will no longer be hosting the Oak Grove Lake Park evening walks for the season, so come enjoy these evenings with us while we still have the daylight!
