East Coast Hikers

We had a fantastic morning exploring Beaverdam Park in Gloucester, VA! 🥾🌿 Our small but mighty crew of 9 members, including a few new faces, covered a solid 6.3 miles through peaceful forest trails, rolling hills, and along the beautiful lake. At 80°F it was a warm morning, but the shady trails kept us comfortable. Along the way we admired beautiful irises 🌺 spotted turtles 🐢 unique mushrooms 🍄 impressive beaver-chewed trees 🦫 and even made a new feathered friend 🦆 who stopped by to say hello. The scenic boardwalks and lakeside views made for an unforgettable morning. Thank you to everyone who joined us—we hope to see you on the next East Coast Hikers adventure! ❤️

We had another fantastic evening at Mt. Trashmore! 🌿👟 Twenty-two members and four happy dogs joined us for a fun night on the trails. It was great to welcome a few new faces as we completed 4.7 miles with two laps around the entire park, plus one trip up the hill and stairs. The weather was nearly perfect—around 79°F with a light breeze and beautiful skies that gave us an incredible sunset to enjoy. Great conversations, friendly company, and another memorable evening. Thank you to everyone who came out—we can’t wait to see you on the next adventure! ❤️

No rain on our parade! 🌦️👟 Nine of us came out to Beach Garden Park and the Virginia Beach Oceanfront this evening and enjoyed a beautiful 5-mile walk together! The skies put on an incredible show, but the weather held out just long enough for another fun evening of fresh air, great conversations, and amazing company. What a fantastic walk last Sunday at Fort Monroe! 👟❤️🌿 We had 23 walkers and one furry friend join us for a refreshing adventure along the Seawall and Historical Trails. A cool breeze coming off the bay made for perfect walking weather as we enjoyed the waterfront before crossing the moat to explore the historic fort and its fascinating grounds. It was great to have members join us from the Southside, Peninsula, and Williamsburg for another awesome East Coast Hikers adventure. A big thank you to John for hosting his second walk with us and for taking these great photos. Thank you to everyone who came out—we can’t wait to see you on the next walk!

The weather was absolutely perfect, making it a beautiful morning to enjoy the fresh air, great conversations, and peaceful scenery.
