We are so blessed to have a vibrant Catholic parish community and clergy who are truly devoted to our students' daily lives!

Father Daniel makes it a priority to step into a different classroom each day to connect, listen, and share in our students' learning journeys. Today, he visited Mrs. Tracy’s kindergarten class for a meaningful discussion on the Holy Trinity and how we can reflect God's love in our daily habits.

Our thoughtful students offered wonderful ideas, from offering a warm hug to a friend in need to showing respect and focus during class time. What a beautiful reminder of how small acts of kindness and respect bring faith to life!

Why read indoors when you can take the classroom outside? Mrs. Stanley’s middle school language arts class took full advantage of today’s beautiful weather by bringing their reading lessons out into the sunshine. Fresh air and a good book—the perfect combination!

Our middle school mathletes in Mrs. Brown’s and Mrs. Capron’s classes kicked off the year working together on group puzzles and number searches! These hands-on tasks helped students establish group teamwork strategies early on—proving that learning math is always better (and more fun!) when we work together.

Take a look inside Mrs. Monroe’s Middle School Language Arts class!

After completing The 7 Habits of Effective Teens for summer reading, students gathered at the whiteboard to map out how they can apply these powerful habits in their own lives.

Meanwhile, as they begin reading Among the Hidden, students showed off their creative sides by drawing scenes of the book’s setting.

Way to go, middle schoolers—keep up the amazing work!

Ms. Rauch’s Junior Kindergarten students mixed learning with a little hands-on science as they explored color!

After reading Mix It Up by Hervé Tullet, students learned about primary and secondary colors and made predictions about what would happen when different colors were combined. Then, they put their hypotheses to the test in their very own color “lab”!

Students painted their hands different colors, rubbed them together, and stamped their colorful discoveries onto paper. Through this fun experiment, our youngest Saints explored color mixing, made predictions, observed results, and learned that sometimes the best way to learn is to get your hands messy!

Math is more fun when you can play, build, match, and learn together!

Mrs. Eaton’s 1st graders jumped into Math Centers using dominoes to create and solve addition problems and a matching game featuring numbers in numerals, word form, addition sentences, ten frames, tally marks, and even some silly creatures!

Students worked together to sort their cards under the correct numerals while practicing important math skills — and just as importantly, teamwork, patience, and cooperation.

We love seeing our Saints learning, laughing, and growing together!

Every member of the SGGS family gets a House — and this year, we’re thrilled to welcome Father Francisco to ours!

You might expect a priest greeting students at the door each morning with a simple “Good morning.”

Not Father Francisco.

Some mornings it’s Father Francisco… other mornings it’s Kermit the Frog or Elmo!

His joy, humor, and love for our students are already making our mornings brighter — and definitely more entertaining!

We are so blessed to have Father Francisco as part of the Saint Gregory the Great Catholic Church and SGGS family.

The Super Saints Raffle is BACK!

Today marks the official launch of one of Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School’s biggest annual fundraisers — and we couldn’t do it without the incredible support of our SGGS community.

For the past 16 years, the Super Saints Raffle has raised more than $1.3 million for our school! These funds directly support our students and make a difference across every aspect of school life — from classroom supplies and Smart Boards to field trips, programs, activities, and so much more.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Gregory the Great, the patron saint of our school and a powerful example of faith, humility, service, and leadership.

At Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School, we believe being a saint isn’t just something we celebrate on a feast day. It’s something we are called to live each day.

To live like a saint means choosing kindness when it’s difficult, serving others before ourselves, standing up for what is right, using our gifts to make a difference, and letting our faith shine through in all that we do.

Every day at SGGS, our students are learning that sainthood isn’t about being perfect. It’s about striving to be the person God created us to be and making a difference in the lives of those around us.

From the classroom to the athletic field, from our House meetings to our acts of service, our Saints are learning to lead with virtue, love with purpose, and shine as a light for others.

Today, on the Feast of Saint Gregory the Great, we celebrate our patron and remember his example:
