This safe sleep resource page was originally created in response to the Milwaukee "safe sleep" campaign: http://city.milwaukee.gov/SafeSleep

Parents deserve to know all the facts on healthy infant sleep in order to make fully informed decisions for the sake of their baby. "CoSleeping" and "Sleep Sharing" are used interchangeably. Both can include sleeping within an arm's reach of your baby on separate sleep surfaces, and both can include "bedsharing" or sleeping on the same surface. Both forms of cosleeping can be done safely and responsibly for the sake of baby and his/her nursing mother.
