Tyler's journey is exactly why E3 exists. The first eight years of a child's life build the foundation for everything that comes next. We're honored to have been part of his. He was one of the very first to attend The E3 School.

3 million books delivered to Virginia’s children and families since Virginia started investing in Dolly Parton's Imagination Library of Virginia. A big thank you to the legislature, Governor Abigail Spanberger, Virginia Department of Education - VDOE, The Dollywood Foundation, and all the local program partners who work tirelessly to put more books in the hands of early learners to inspire a love of reading and books in communities across Virginia.

New SOL results are in, and Virginia’s third graders are making progress in reading and math 📚

That progress is encouraging and highlights the importance of building strong reading foundations early. The foundation for literacy is built in a child’s first eight years, long before they sit down for their first SOL test. That’s why E3 is committed to helping ensure children have access to quality, age-appropriate books from day one, teachers can teach reading effectively, and have the tools they need to be successful in the classroom.

The Virginia Literacy Act in Action 📚 The Virginia Literacy Act is working for our schools, teachers and students.

What an honor to have the Secretary of Education and Superintendent of Public Instruction visit one of our first Literacy Innovation + Impact pilots in kindergarten through third grade. Watch this news clip of the incredible leaders, educators and interventionists at Park View Elementary in Portsmouth helping every child learn to read.

During the first year of the pilot, we saw a 27% decrease in K-3 students with reading difficulties. The Virginia Language and Literacy Screening System (VALLSS) data drives instruction, professional development and coaching in the classroom.

A big thank you to Portsmouth Public Schools, The Blocker Foundation, Senator L. Louise Lucas, policymakers, Virginia Literacy Partnerships at University of Virginia, Virginia Department of Education - VDOE, the E3 Board and investors who make this important public-private partnership possible in schools across Virginia. A trip to the movies can help put more books into the hands of children. 📚🎬

Regal theaters across Virginia are joining a nationwide celebration of Dolly Parton’s incredible legacy by bringing two of her beloved films back to the big screen, with 100% of proceeds benefiting Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

From September 4–9, moviegoers can enjoy special screenings at participating Regal theaters while supporting a program that helps inspire a love of reading in children from birth to age five.

We’re grateful to see our local community finding another meaningful way to help Dolly’s legacy live on, one book and one child at a time. ❤️

We proudly partnered with the Dollywood Foundation, Roanoke City Public Schools, Roanoke County and others to launch Dolly Parton's Imagination Library this summer, bringing free books to kids from birth to age 5. Since Dolly's passing, the local program partners have seen an outpouring of support — and we will soon add to that momentum with a grant from our Book Access Gap Fund. 💛📚

Today, we join so many around the world in remembering Dolly Parton and the incredible legacy she leaves behind.

Through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, she helped put books into the hands of millions of children and gave families a powerful way to build a love of reading from the very beginning.

Here in Virginia, 86,000 children are currently receiving free, age-appropriate books each month — but nearly 400,000 children under five are eligible.
