What's one tip you would share with someone?

Tip 1: Bring your ChatGPT history with you
Don’t start from scratch. Claude has a built-in import tool at claude.ai/import. You copy one prompt, paste it into ChatGPT, and Claude absorbs everything it already knows about you. Your tone preferences, your projects, your working style. Done in like two minutes.

Tip 2: Stop typing your prompts
If you’re on a computer, get Wispr. It’s a voice dictation app that lets you talk out long, detailed prompts instead of typing them. It is a game changer when you’re trying to actually build something and you need to get a lot of context in fast.

Tip 3: Use Projects to keep Claude focused
Claude has a feature called Projects where you can give it a specific system prompt, upload files, and keep a whole workstream separate. So your client stuff doesn’t bleed into your personal stuff. Think of it as giving Claude a different job for each context.

Tip 4: Talk to it like a collaborator, not a search engine
The more context you give, the better the output. Don’t ask “write me a caption.” Say “I’m a creative strategist, my audience is women who run their own thing, and I need a caption for a reel about AI tools that feels real, not techy.” The difference in what you get back is night and day.

Tip 5: If you’re still on ChatGPT, use folders.
ChatGPT doesn’t have Projects like Claude does, but it does have folders, which is actually really nice. You can store your different chats in folders so you don’t have a million conversations just hanging out on the side. It’s a simple way to keep everything organized. You can also add a prompt in the instructions for that folder, along with adding sources.

And then there was food. Two travel rules: find the stationery store, find the good food. VA Beach had no cool stationery stores (a crime), but the food? Forgiven.

Left to right: Nami Nori (sushi tacos made right in front of you, very theatrical, very necessary), Paris Baguette (that sweet potato bread was buttery in a way that should be illegal), and The Egg Bistro (because a great breakfast spot is always the real destination).

Threw in a beach shot because I already miss the water. But the truly glorious moment of this whole weekend? I convinced LaKaye to try the Structured app AND give Notion another shot. Productivity evangelism, successfully deployed. Small wins.

Click the Substack link in my bio to see how I actually use Notion.

Back to fiber and responsibility. 😫
