🌟I Make A Difference Award🌟
I would first like to extend my sincere gratitude to Officer Sprat for honoring me with the "I Make a Difference" award last week. It is truly humbling to be recognized by a colleague I respect so much. To keep the spirit of appreciation moving, I am proud to announce that this week’s nominee is Maria Edmonds.

Maria is the heart and soul of the kitchen, consistently proving that a hard work ethic and a joyful spirit go hand-in-hand. She is remarkably dependable and has built an incredible rapport with our students, who truly appreciate her kindness. Whether she’s collaborating with the team or managing the daily rush, Maria gets along with everyone and makes the kitchen an genuinely enjoyable place to work.

What sets Maria apart, however, is her unwavering positivity. Even on those mornings when the rest of us are dragging our feet, Maria is there with a bright smile and a cheerful "Happy Monday!" to kickstart our week. Her great sense of humor and high spirits are a gift to this school, and I am thrilled to recognize the immense difference she makes every single day.

🌟I Make A Difference Award🌟

I would like to start by expressing my sincere gratitude to Chief Young for nominating me last week; it truly means so much to me!

For this week's "I Make a Difference" Award, it is my honor to pass the recognition to Mr. Virgo Pillega.

Mr. Pillega has dedicated more than 10 years to working with VBCPS. He is an incredibly hardworking and dedicated employee who is always willing to step up and help our staff and students, no matter what the task may be. He is consistently respectful to his coworkers and our students, and he always brings such a positive attitude to our school.

What I really admire about Virgo is how he enjoys finding inventive, easier, and more efficient ways to complete his daily duties. I often hear him singing and whistling as he works through the halls, which is a wonderful indication of someone who genuinely enjoys their job.

Mr. Pillega is a true attribute to Landstown High School and is incredibly deserving of the "I Make a Difference" Award. Thank you, Virgo, for all your hard work!
