Last weekend Delin Huver, DNP, CRNA and Janae Ingraham, DNP, CRNA were honored with the Chairs award. This academic distinction is given to the top 10% for GPAs of all DNP graduates in the Ellmer School of Nursing at Old Dominion University. This is an amazing accomplishment in a very rigorous nurse anesthesia program. All your hard work paid off and you are now both CRNAs!🎉🎊🙌

The highest honor given in Nurse Anesthesia Programs each year is the Agatha Hodgins award named after the pioneer nurse anesthetist that founded the AANA / American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology. This award considers professionalism, clinical performance, academics and attitude and is voted on by the faculty. This years winner is Trang Pagano. We are happy to report that Trang is staying local and will be practicing at Sentara Norfolk General one of amazing clinical partners! Congrats Trang!

This past week Holly Sturdevant, DNP, CRNA received the Professional Service Award for her work as the Ellmer School of Nursing at Old Dominion University Nurse Anesthesia Program’s Resident Representative to the Virginia Association of Nurse Anesthesiology - VANA BOD. In that role she acted as a liaison between VANA and her classmates. Job well done Holly. We hope you will continue to be active with VANA now that you are a CRNA! Holly is also an amazing party planner🎊🎉

The Clinical Excellence Award is given out every year for outstanding clinical performance and is based on input/evaluations from our clinical preceptors. This year’s recipient was Dr. Matt Pavlecka, DNP, CRNA. Way to go Matt!
