I'm really enjoying reading this book! So much good information. Here's an interesting statistic: In a typical one-hour lesson, 75% - 85% of students exhibited non-thinking behaviors 100% of the time. The rest of the students exhibited non-thinking behaviors for all but 8-10 minutes of the time.

At Ambleside Cooperative, our first block of the day is math. We begin the math block with mini lessons so each student can confidently understand the lesson.
