✈️🛩️ EBA Takes STEM to the Air Show! 🌸🎨

What a day at the NAS Oceana Air Show! Our EBA students hosted a STEM Lab booth all day for 5th graders from VBCPS and Chesapeake Public Schools, and our students were nothing short of magical volunteers! ✨

They helped young learners build, design, and fly planes, create flowers, solve challenges, win prizes, and even get temporary tattoos—you name it, our Chiefs were ready to help! ❤️💙

It was an incredible opportunity for our EBA students to demonstrate leadership, service, creativity, and STEM skills while making the experience fun and memorable for hundreds of elementary students.

We are so proud of the energy, enthusiasm, and service our students brought to the Air Show today! Chief Pride in action! ✈️❤️💙

🚀 EBA at the Startup World Cup Virginia Cup!

What a night! Approximately 75 EBA students, parents, and staff came together at the Sandler Center to experience entrepreneurship in action.

Our students watched 10 Virginia startups deliver four-minute pitches, compete for $50,000 in funding, and engage the audience throughout the event.

A huge THANK YOU to Innovate 757 for inviting our entire EBA community! We loved learning, connecting, and seeing entrepreneurship happen beyond the classroom. 💼🚀

🚀 Our first official EBA Master Class of the school year is in the books!

We were excited to welcome Megan Ellis, High School STEM Presenter, for an engaging and interactive look at careers in STEM and how ECPI University can help students turn their career goals into reality.

Students got hands-on with activities focused on AI integration, coding, music, mazes, and problem-solving puzzles—all while exploring the creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills that are essential in today’s STEM careers. 🤖💡🧩

🧭 Which Direction Are You?

For 11 years, EBA 9th-grade students in EBA Honors English 9 have participated in one of the program’s favorite activities—the Personality Compass!

This activity gives students an opportunity to discover more about how they naturally think, communicate, make decisions, collaborate, and approach challenges. Building self-awareness early helps students better understand themselves and how they interact with others.

Because better self-awareness leads to better self-management. 💡

Now, EBA upperclassmen and alumni are challenged to join in! 👀

Staff, families, and community members are invited to complete a survey that will help inform the development of the 2027-28 and 2028-29 school calendars. 🗓

The survey considers priorities such as a pre-Labor Day start, a two-week winter break, limited adjusted dismissal days, and staff professional development days.
