This page will post positive leadership & advocacy events that ensure inclusive opportunities for all military-connected students at Bayside High, VB, VA.
The MCEC Student 2 Student (S2S) program trains civilian and military-connected high school students to establish and sustain peer-based programs in their schools to support mobile children as they transition to and from the school. Most military-connected students move six to nine times during their school years. Feeling like the perpetual “new kid” can be stressful – just finding someone to eat lunch with can make a difference. MCEC offers student-centered and student-led programs at the elementary, middle and high school levels to ease transitions, and create a positive environment.
Mission: To ensure inclusive, quality educational experiences for all military-connected children affected by mobility, family separation, and transition.
Military transitions take place all year long.
Military Child Education Coalition
Thanks to the #MCEC Military Student Transition Consultant (MSTC), a military-connected student was able to graduate on time in spite of his family relocating to a new duty station during his senior year. The MSTC worked with the family and school personnel to help the student meet the new requirements and graduate on time. MCEC Programs, such as the MSTC, assist students across the world and provide resources to help them succeed.
Please invest in our nation’s military-connected children through a contribution to MCEC, where 85 cents of every dollar goes directly to programs and services. #HomeIsWhereWeAre #MOMC

Stay tuned for more information as we build our page. Bayside High School, VB, VA supports military families and those students that transition from one school to another. I had the fortune of attending the same school, not having to move. Some families move several times and young students / teens have a hard time adjusting, making new friends and feeling connected to their new school. We have a student ambassador program in place to address that need. The S2S student leaders are motivated and dedicated to this cause.
Like our page for updates and to show your support! Thanks.
Our student leaders are the best!
