Reading or Listening—Both Count 📚🎧

A common question we hear is whether audiobooks “count” as reading.
The short answer? Yes—just in a different way.

Reading builds decoding skills, focus, and visual comprehension.

Audiobooks support listening comprehension, vocabulary, fluency, and imagination—especially helpful for developing readers, busy families,
or children who learn best by listening.

What matters most isn’t how a child experiences a book, but that they understand the story and enjoy connecting with it.

Different formats support different learners, and both can play an important role in a child’s reading journey. 💛
