WISH YOU WERE HERE – A SOLO EXHIBITION BY MOLLY DEE
The Garage Gallery at the Creative Well Arts Foundation

Wish You Were Here presents a collection of large-scale figurative paintings by American artist Molly Dee, whose work explores memory, time, and the emotional resonance of the past.

Drawing inspiration from old photographs sourced from estate sales, family archives, and historical collections, Dee transforms familiar imagery into something both deeply personal and universally felt. Her paintings blur the line between past and present, inviting viewers into moments that feel at once intimate and distant.

At once contemporary and nostalgic, Dee’s work captures what she describes as a “faceless pulsation of human emotion,” transcending the specificity of individual subjects to evoke shared memory, longing, and connection.

Opening Reception
Friday, August 7
6:00 – 8:00 PM
The Garage Gallery at the Creative Well Arts Foundation
536 Virginia Beach Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA

The opening reception is free and open to the public.
