This year we hosted the Musique de la Marine Nationale from Toulon, France! We are grateful for our Sister schools around the world, who send delegations to visit us, as well as allow our own students to experience the culture and practice their language skills when we visit them! Shout out in Northern Ireland, .cvl_lebrun in France, Germany, Philippines, and our Spanish friends in Madrid! We are so thankful we found each other, and connected!

The GSWLA is lucky and thankful to work with many community partners. From CIEE providing honor cords for students participating in their program, to our Honor Societies (check out the Induction photos for Social Studies, Math, Science, Art, English, and Global Studies!) who do community service, to the World Affairs Council of Hampton Roads putting on a World Quest Competition every year (Tallwood came in 3rd this year), to our Sisters City Council who lets students sit on their board, to our own amazing GSWLA Booster club, we are invested in the Hampton Roads community. We continue our thankful series by thanking all of community partners for all the ways you support our students!

Notice anyone familiar? Herr Titus and I (Ms. Windish) had the pleasure of meeting up with the 23-24 delegation from Staufer Gymnasium and a few students from the 22-23 delegation too! A chat with the principal, a student ledtour of the school, and some planning for 24-25…it was a great day in Waiblingen!
