Unofficial class page offering an alternative for the 50th Reunion event.

My buddy in Charlotte wanted to give me this. It would make a great addition for a Class Reunion, but since I'm "not really a classmate" I passed. LOL

I'm getting a couple notifications daily that someone is visiting this page. Don't know if it's a troll, a stalker, or a hacker. If you do pop on here please leave something to let me know it's you...

I was going to delete this page this morning. Imagine my surprise to see Kellam Karen has been following since September. LOL It's probably best not to like or comment on this page. Old KK is blocking folks from the Official reunion page. Be sure to bend a knee and pledge loyalty to KK. I would hate to see any of you blocked by her in the future. Petty mean girls play that way.

Howdy campers. Time for an update.

Kellam has published the 2023/2024 Football schedule. The actual Homecoming game is October 6th. I had already planned on coming back to Virginia, but to come back for just the Homecoming game doesn't work for me. I will be in town the weekend of the 20th. I still have no desire or intentions of attending the "official" event. There are quite a few folks I would like to catch up with... and a couple I want to avoid like the plaque.

If anyone is interested there is a Home game the night of the 20th. The "official" gathering will be at the Lucky Oyster. It's a public bar/restaurant so if you would like to swing by to check in with fellow classmates feel free. The food is pretty good there and they do have a bar. This may be your best chance to see classmates without getting caught up in the "official" event. I prefer a low-key event that does not require badges.

I do have something I'm working on for Saturday night. If anyone has any suggestions I can share please let me know.

I look forward to seeing some of you. Others, not so much. LOL

An update from "boB's World".

Kellam has not announced the 2023/2024 Football schedule. They can't announce a Homecoming date without the football schedule first. At this time the only event I am going to focus on is the Homecoming game with a get-together after. No tickets, No rules. No politics, No BS.

I understand the "Official" group event is the weekend of October 20-22. I did get a back door offer to attend as long as I have a ticket...

I'm happy that I have classmates that don't think my being at Kellam for only my Senior year should be used to justify excluding me from the event. Mean girl high school games were played and there appears to be some backpedaling. It doesn't matter. There are just some people I have no interest in interacting with. So all those people that were afraid of evil "boB" showing up can rest easy. "boB' will no longer allow me to be a fake around fake people just to be civil.

BTW... I did attend the 45th. Between Mickey running late putting together the Care Package (there is a story there...) and the elitist attitude of a couple of the classmates I really did not have a good time. There were between 30 to 40 in attendance.

If going to the Homecoming game is not beneath you let me know. It's a great opportunity to go back 50 years to catch up with old friends and share some memories. No pomp and circumstance. No banners. No badges....

As some of you may know I have been banned from the Official 50th Reunion. I'm not going to get into that now. If you know me you know damn well I'm going to wear "banned from my 50th Reunion" like a badge of honor.

I'm putting this page together to see if we can offer some alternative events that will not interfere with that groups events. I've heard grumblings that there may be issues, but it's not my intent to rain on their parade.

I'm proposing taking in the Kellam Homecoming game. Seriously folks, it's 50 years. It won't kill you. Once we have a head count we will find a restaurant/bar at the Oceanfront that can accommodate the group. What we don't want is a venue that will force everyone out when they close at 10:00 PM. This is BYOW... Bring Your Own Wallet.

I have a venue that I will be checking out for our low-key main event. I will be going home for a few days at the end of the month. I will stop buy and chat with them and update the page.

If anyone wants to just have a casual event... that's us. Any ideas and/or thoughts will gladly be accepted.
