Did you graduate Recruit Training Command on or after June 1, 2024, and not receive a full seabag?

The Navy’s Uniform Electronic Gift Card Program helps eligible Active and Reserve Sailors receive required uniform items they did not get after RTC because of uniform supply chain shortages.

Eligible Sailors may receive a Navy Exchange e-gift card to redeem missing required uniform items at any Navy Exchange Uniform Center with no out-of-pocket cost.
Here’s what to do:
1. Check your email for a DFAS SmartDocs notification.
2. Email NEXCOM at [email protected].
3. Include your full name, graduating company or division, graduation date, phone number and personal email address.
4. Once verified, use your e-gift card at any Navy Exchange Uniform Center.

Already paid out of pocket? Contact the Navy Uniform Matters Office at [email protected] and provide details on the items owed and receipts showing the date and cost of purchase.

Eighty-four years ago, during the Battle of Midway, U.S. Navy Sailors faced overwhelming odds in one of the most decisive naval battles of World War II. From June 4–7, 1942, American forces fought with extraordinary courage and determination to stop the advance of the Imperial Japanese Navy in the Pacific. Through the bravery of Sailors, aviators, and support crews, four enemy aircraft carriers were sunk, changing the course of the war and securing a critical victory for the United States and Allied forces. Today, we honor the sacrifice, valor, and legacy of the Navy Sailors who served at Midway and continue to inspire generations through their devotion to duty. We remember the heroes of Midway.

🌴🇮🇹 Tropical Italiano, Navy Style! ⚓🍽️

After four weeks of instruction, our Galley Watch Captain students brought their training together for the course’s culminating event: a Grand Buffet showcasing their culinary skills, leadership, teamwork, and attention to detail.

With a creative Tropical Italiano theme, the class prepared and presented a full buffet featuring everything from rasta pasta and oxtail stew to Italian roasted potatoes, tiramisu, island punch lemonade, and more.

The Galley Watch Captain course prepares Sailors to take on greater responsibility in Navy food service operations, and this event gave them the opportunity to display the talents they have developed throughout training.

Naval Service Support Advanced Training Command proudly recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of the following Sailors:

LS1 Brittney Joseph — Master Training Specialist qualification
RS2 Charles Allen — Junior Sailor of the Quarter

These achievements reflect exceptional professionalism, dedication to the mission, and a continued commitment to excellence across the command. Earning the Master Training Specialist qualification demonstrates a high level of instructional expertise and devotion to developing the Navy’s future leaders. Selection as Sailor of the Quarter and Junior Sailor of the Quarter highlights superior performance, leadership, and sustained impact within the command.

Congratulations to each of these outstanding Sailors. Your hard work, discipline, and commitment bring great credit upon yourselves, NSSATC, and the United States Navy.
