👏Join us in congratulating our Volunteer of the Year, Virginia Calimlim, who also serves as our current PTA Secretary!

💪You may have seen her helping out during book fairs, distributing dance wristbands, and working the concession stand during school dances, home games, and tournaments.

👊Virginia often describes herself as "an extension of Ashley" or "an extra pair of hands (and feet)" offering boots on the ground support for numerous behind the scenes tasks.

🫶 Thank you for playing a valuable role on our PTA Board and making a positive difference for our Salem Sharks community!

🌟Our PTA was recognized at the Virginia Beach Citywide PTA Awards Dinner!

🎉We earned the🏆Cardinal Award (for reporting 75% of last year's total membership to the state PTA by Dec. 1st) and the🏆Membership Increase Award (for increasing the total number of PTA members this year as compared to last year).

🎉We also celebrated the Salem Middle School Volunteer of the Year, Virginia Calimlim!

🎉These achievements are a testament to the collective effort, consistent dedication, and continued support of our Salem Sharks teachers, staff, and families! HUGE SHOUT OUT TO EACH OF YOU!

🦈Salem Middle School is holding a Leadership Workshop on Friday, April 24th, after school.

🌟Students will participate in team-building activities, fun icebreakers, and interactive instructional sessions.

🤝Students will also meet new people and create friendships, while learning how to apply leadership skills to everyday life.
