Ok….so no crying …this page was started by & managed by to show the many joys of the Brownlow Brothers that come with being a Special Needs Support Parent, so weather you were exposed to the Brownlow Brothers thru the local interview (link in bio) or thru their IG Page their FB Page or within the local Hampton Roads Community…the goal is always to not only help them build a sense of independence & confidence but to let others know that they are just young curious individuals..,so for the past few months Nicholas has been talking about Cyber Trucks …so yesterday we visited the local TESLA dealership …then today while at the in VA Beach Nicholas saw & electric car & I ask the owner if Nicholas could look inside…he said yes Nicholas proceeded to take over…not only did he close the door but you can see him introducing himself as Nicholas Asparagus…the guy was nice enough to show Nick a few features of the Electric Car…I thanked the guy before we left & told him he had given Nicholas a year of memories in that small 2 minutes…I didn’t even get the guys name…but I am grateful that in a world where some just want to be left alone he saw a chance to put a smile on a young man’s face he didn’t know…& to me he is the core of what HELP PUSH stands for Help People Unite Special Hero’s …

Free Spirit is the best way to describe Nicholas…he found a new way to entertain himself with the vacuum at the car was today…I guess that music was hitting @

If you follow the life of the Brownlow Brothers you know they are exposed to many different adventures, activities & customs….in this case the final dress rehearsal of the 2026 Virginia International Tattoo…would like to thank the Norfolk Department of Education for tickets to the 11th Annual Special Needs Night. This has been an event that the Brownlow Brothers look forward to every year…& as you see while he might not have known the French translation…Nicholas knows good music when he hears it.

One of the ways the Brownlow brothers have been successful is because Ginger Brownlow & Isreal Brownlow Jr realized early on not only would we have to invest in our 3 boys starting early but completely go against conventional wisdom of what should be done…so early on Ginger began teaching Jonathan basic sign language & I purchased a book on Amazon Signing Exact English over the years we invested in many learning things that would improve their skills…to today Jonathan came to me & said “juice” using both sign language & his words…& I kind of ignored him@because I knew he has had 2 juices earlier…well he wasn’t having it because he knew that I knew what he was saying…& using some of the problems solving skills we try to teach daily…he went into the kitchen& got the Family Event calendar off the wall & wrote juice in cursive….how could I not reward that…their so is because we refused to put them in a box & label them as society thought many years ago…Thank God society has come a long way…as for us…The Journey Continues & we will continue to enjoy the ride.

There has been no greater joy then becoming a stay at home dad in June 2008. The idea that you are accepting the responsibilities to care for nurture, mold young boys into men is a great but terrifying honor & I thank for trusting me with this challenging…these young have given me more then I could have ever given them, they made me grow more over the years as I have watched them the lessons & love are unimaginable…The Journey Continues

that look when you catch 1 of your Special Needs sons watch YouTube videos on how to make Mac & Cheese & then catch him@ breaking into the garage to get the frozen mozzarella out the chest freezer…even when we aren’t working on their life skills they are learning on their own & that’s a great thing… The Journey Continues
