🧪 Happy National Root Beer Float Day! 🧪🍦

Who knew a delicious treat could double as a science experiment?

A root beer float is the perfect way to explore the 3 States of Matter at home!

🟤 Solid: Vanilla ice cream
🥤 Liquid: Root beer
🫧 Gas: Carbon dioxide bubbles that create all that fun foam!

Try it together:
1️⃣ Scoop vanilla ice cream into a clear cup.
2️⃣ Pour root beer over the top.
3️⃣ Watch the fizz, foam, and bubbles grow!

🔬 Talk About It:
• Which ingredient is the solid?
• Which one is the liquid?
• Where do you see the gas?
• What do you notice happening as the foam rises?

✨ Science Fun Fact: The fizz happens because carbon dioxide gas escapes from the root beer. The proteins and fats in the ice cream trap the bubbles, creating that big, fluffy foam!
