Over the last several years, we’ve seen incredible growth in the number of students participating in our band program. We currently have 44 students in the high school band and 158 total students in the band program grades 6-12. This is exciting for us, but also presents financial needs as we try to provide our students with what they need to succeed at a high level. Some of our most pressing needs are:
- A larger trailer for traveling to performances. Our current trailer purchased in 2007 is no longer large enough to serve our needs.
- Larger instruments (such as Tubas and low woodwinds) are in need of replacement and an expanded inventory. Having these instruments is necessary for us to be successfull as an ensemble, but they are too expensive for most students to be able to acquire for themselves.
- Additional instruments for students unable to afford their own. We do try to maintain an inventory of instrumetns available for students whose families cannot afford to acquire thier own instruments, but we are currently stretched to the limit with the instruments we have available.
- Additional uniforms. At the high school level, we anticipate needing ot order additional uniforms to keep up with growth at the high school level.
