May I say how proud I am of my little clutch of students? Our student recital is manifesting despite recent adventures in healthland. I am getting lots of help. Having cleared the boards of nearly all other activities I am happily focused on this event, which was 90% organized already. Resisting the urge to take ourselves too seriously, we offer this recital as a gentle celebration of good orderly direction. My mentor, Dr. Suzuki, believed music as a path towards beautiful heart. My students represent all ages and stages. Together we apply this principle to fiddle & classical music in equal measure. All are welcome!

High School students Ondine and Sofia played violin and viola on a waltz called "Northern Lights." They even got in some line dancing later at our Sunday performance at the Unitarian Church. But let us not forget our OTHER string student taller than 5 feet, Dan Waters, who also fiddled when not backing us on accordion...

I couldn't be more proud! 3 string students will make a guest appearance at this FREE dance party at 238 Main Street Vineyard Haven, this Sunday, 4pm.
