Dear Parents and Guardians of the Bishop Schad Regional School Community,
I am deeply honored to have been chosen to serve as President for Bishop Schad Regional School in which I am hopeful in gaining your valued trust and support. I have been an educator, now, in the public school sector for over four-decades in several positions, including Superintendent of Schools for three school districts, a high school principal, a high school assistant principal, and a high/school science teacher, in addition to, holding various positions involving coaching. The school districts I served, due to also the dedication and talents of others, received many awards for academic, athletic, and performing arts accomplishments, including one involving me being invited to the White House to meet the President.
My vision for Bishop Schad Regional School involves creating, supporting, and maintaining a dynamic school culture comprised of high-levels of academic achievement and enlightenment toward establishing impactful educational programs and partnerships to foster spiritual growth for students, encourage active participation in the faith community, and lead each student to a stronger relationship with Jesus while understanding the doctrine and principles of the Catholic Church within their own spiritual journeys, involving educational formations and Catechesis. The importance of Catholic Education, especially during these challenging times, is key for the growth, charge, and mission of the Catholic Church.
With all of this said, I am absolutely excited about this leadership opportunity while being mindful of the mission and bearing a commitment and foreseen dedication to both lead and serve in order to help provide a Christ Centered Academic Educational Standard of Excellence for Bishop Schad Regional School, one of the best in the Southern Region of New Jersey. It is my sincere hope to help create an academic setting that will offer sustainable-genuine pathways, by way of, establishing a strong foundation to succeed so that students can achieve their goals and, ultimately, reach all of their dreams. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams," Transformative power of dreams, through Catholic Education, shapes the future.
Please feel free to reach out to me at any time if you have any questions, concerns, ideas, or just want to talk. I have found that education is a true partnership, involving parents guardians, teachers, parish leaders and community members, school personnel, and schoo leaders, the stronger this active engagement, the greater the successes, achievements, and overall positive school experiences.
Sincerely,
Dr. Richard P. Perry
