📣 Calling all VU Precision Machining alumni! We want to hear your story!

We’re starting a weekly alumni conversation series to help future students see where a career in precision machining can take them, and we’d love to have you join us.

Each interview will be a relaxed Zoom conversation with one of our instructors or current students. We’ll talk about what brought you to VU, your time in the program, memories of your instructors and classmates, and where life has taken you since graduation.

Maybe you got your start through a high school CTE program, followed a family connection, or came to VU looking for a new direction. Whatever your path, we’d like to hear about your career, your successes, the challenges you’ve worked through, and the people who helped you along the way.

No formal presentation needed. Just a conversation, some storytelling, and a chance to show the next generation what’s possible in our industry.

✨We are excited to introduce our new Precision Machining Instructor, Ms. Aubree Davis! ✨

A 2024 graduate of Gibson Southern High School, Ms. Davis took full advantage of the Precision Machining program at Princeton throughout her high school career. She then went on to earn her Associate Degree in Precision Machining from Vincennes University.

We’re thrilled to have her back in the lab leading the next generation of machinists. Please join us in welcoming Ms. Davis, and wishing all of our students and staff a wonderful school year! 🐅🛠️🐅

Blessed to serve.

We are incredibly grateful that the Precision Machining Technology Department at Vincennes University has the opportunity to be part of this outstanding partnership with Marian University and Herron-Riverside High School.

This initiative is about much more than teaching technical skills. It’s about opening doors for students in an underserved area of Indianapolis who may not have had access to high-quality career and technical education pathways. Through opportunities like this, students can discover rewarding careers, build valuable skills, and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.

We want to thank Marian University for their vision and leadership in making this possible, and for allowing Vincennes University to be a partner in this important work. We look forward to serving these students and helping them discover the life-changing opportunities available through precision machining and the skilled trades.

🚨 **We're Hiring! Part-Time CNC Instructor** 🚨

Do you have a passion for machining and enjoy helping others develop their skills? Vincennes University is looking for a **Part-Time Adjunct CNC Instructor** to join our team at the **Gene Haas Technical Education Center in Lebanon, Indiana**.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist who wants to give back to the industry by training the next generation of CNC professionals while continuing to stay connected with manufacturing.

**We're looking for someone with experience in:**
🔹 Haas CNC Mills & Lathes
🔹 CNC Setup & Operation
🔹 G & M Code Programming
🔹 Mastercam Programming
🔹 Manufacturing & Industrial Training

**Preferred experience includes:**
• Multi-axis machining
• Conversational programming
• Manual machining
• Welding & fabrication
• Tooling and workholding
• CMM operation
• Metrology, quality control, and print reading

**Minimum Qualifications:**
✔ Associate degree in Machining or related field
✔ 3+ years of machining industry experience
✔ Haas CNC experience
✔ NIMS Measurement, Materials & Safety and Job Planning, Benchwork & Layout credentials (or equivalent qualifications)

As an instructor, you'll:
• Teach CNC machining to traditional and nontraditional students
• Help develop and improve training programs
• Train local manufacturing partners
• Work with modern Haas equipment and Mastercam software
• Play an important role in strengthening Indiana's manufacturing workforce
