The Christian Educational Foundation helps to raise funds to support Rivet Middle/High School and Flaget Elementary in Vincennes, IN. We have a current goal of raising $200,000 annually through direct donations and various fundraisers. Monies raised goes towards educational programs and providing scholarships and grants. The CEF exists to help support the VCS continue their purpose of providing st

udents in Knox County and the surrounding areas the opportunity to experience a quality, parochial education at an affordable cost. They strive to education students in a well rounded manner; intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and morally; laying the groundwork for our students to become successful, productive members of our community. With the assistance of the CEF, the Vincennes Catholic Schools are able to welcome students of all faiths and a variety of social-economic statuses.

The Christian Educational Foundation (CEF) will be hosting their 28th Fall Gathering on Saturday, September 19 from 5:00 p.m. to midnight at Highland Woods Community Center. Come and enjoy the Herman’s BBQ Hog Roast dinner, Live Auction with Auctioneer Chip Sparks, Silent Auction, $5,000 Reverse Raffle, Special Raffle, Heads or Tails Raffle, Bucket Raffle, $250 Gift Card Raffle and 50/50 Raffle. DJ Music provided by Soundwave Productions & Cary Keller Jr. Meal includes Herman’s Hog Roast BBQ, potato salad, mac & cheese, baked beans, pickle spear, chips & cookies. The event is open to the public.

Our big $5,000 Reverse Raffle tickets (includes 5 - $1,000 winners & 20 - $100 cash winners; only 300 tickets sold prior to the event) are available to purchase now! Reverse Raffle tickets do include a meal ticket for the event. Other raffle tickets available for purchase in advance, include the Special Raffle-$300 Gift Certificate to Pearl & Chrome and $200 Gift Certificate to Littles (donated by Kevin & Nancy Emmons/Cherokee Properties), $250 Gift Card Raffle and 50/50 Raffle.

HAPPENING TONIGHT & TOMORROW!

The Germanfest is celebrating 54 years!

Highland Woods Park
6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.

Music by the Jay Fox Band will be live on stage both nights from 6:30-11:30 p.m. Early entertainment each evening at 6:15 p.m. will include the Color Guard of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Early entertainment will begin at the Community Center and continue at the Woods. Authentic German meals will be served at the Woods, beginning at 6 p.m.

Families can get the same great German meals at the Highland Woods Community from 6-8pm. Dine in & carry out available at the Community Center. All ages welcome.

Germanfest t-shirts will be available for purchase & can be pre-ordered by calling/texting Debbie Thomas at 812-881-7449.

Event is open to the public.
Admission into the Community Center is free.
Admission into Highland Woods is $7 per person and you must be at least 21 to attend.

Each evening will be filled with fun, food, and entertainment.
