Every VCSC school will soon have a new tool to help keep students and staff safe during severe weather.

Thanks to a generous donation from Lauren and Andrew Hinz, emergency weather radios are being distributed to every school across the Vincennes Community School Corporation.

Grandparent Breakfast invitations have been sent home with your child!

We are excited to welcome our grandparents to Franklin Elementary School for a special morning together! Grandparents will enjoy breakfast, book fair shopping, and time with their favorite little Viking.

☕Breakfast Includes:
🧁 Muffin
🧃 Juice / ☕ Coffee
📚 Book Fair Shopping

Each grade level will welcome grandparents on a separate day. A ticket is required for entry, so please complete and return the RSVP by Monday, August 31st.

Good morning, Franklin Families!

We are looking forward to seeing everyone this Wednesday evening for Meet Your Teacher from 5:30-6:30 pm!

As we get the year underway, please take a moment to review and update your enrollment forms in PowerSchool.

Keeping this information current helps us communicate with you effectively and ensures we have the most accurate information to better serve your child.

If you need assistance, we will have computers available Wednesday evening to help you complete this process.

Lastly, our first PTO meeting will be Tuesday, August 25, at 6:00 pm. We would love to see you there!

The beginning of the school year always brings challenges, especially when it comes to dismissal and adjusting to new routines. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by yesterday’s dismissal and transportation issues.
Please know that the safety and well-being of our students and families is our highest priority. We are working closely with our transportation department to address any miscommunication and ensure students arrive home safely and as efficiently as possible.
As a reminder, students may arrive home a few minutes later than they did last year due to Bus 1 being dissolved and those students being reassigned to Bus 13. We hope this information helps provide clarity and sets expectations as everyone adjusts to the new routines.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work through these beginning-of-the-year adjustments. We appreciate your support and look forward to a smoother dismissal today.

The first day of school is finally here, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back to Franklin Elementary for an exciting new school year.

Whether you're joining us for the very first time or returning for another great year, we're looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, new friendships, and unforgettable memories.

Set those alarms, get a good night's sleep, and we'll see all of our Vikings tomorrow morning!

ATTENTION VCSC FAMILIES:

Our technology provider, AME, has experienced a ransomware attack from one of their customers.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Vincennes Community School Corporation is temporarily shutting down its servers. As a result, phone and internet service at all VCSC buildings will be unavailable.

Nothing at VCSC has been compromised. This action is being taken strictly as a precaution while our technology provider addresses the situation.

We will provide an update as soon as services have been restored.
