The VCSC 2026–2027 school calendar has been updated!

The VCSC Board of School Trustees recently approved changes to the calendar, including the removal of several previously scheduled early release days.

Our new and returning Little Alices met their teachers and new friends this past week. They even got to enjoy ice cream on the playground! We are ready for a great year!

ATTENTION VCSC FAMILIES:

Our technology provider, AME, has experienced a ransomware attack from one of their customers.

Out of an abundance of caution, the Vincennes Community School Corporation is temporarily shutting down its servers. As a result, phone and internet service at all VCSC buildings will be unavailable.

Nothing at VCSC has been compromised. This action is being taken strictly as a precaution while our technology provider addresses the situation.

We will provide an update as soon as services have been restored.

The Vincennes Community School Corporation will once again participate in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) for the 2026–2027 school year.

That means every VCSC student will receive free breakfast and lunch throughout the 2026–2027 school year.

No meal application is required, and no further action is needed from families.

We are so excited to welcome you and your child to a brand-new year at Little Alice Learning Center!

This special evening is a wonderful opportunity to explore your child's classroom, meet their teacher, discover where they'll learn and play, and say hello to new classmates before the first day of school.

WHAT TO BRING:
To help your child feel comfortable and ready for the school year, please bring the following items to stay at school. Parents, we ask that you help your child find their cubby and put these items away together.

A blanket (no sleeping bags, please)
A small stuffed animal
A small pillow (optional)
A complete change of clothes in a labeled gallon-sized zipper bag
Go Explore!

After you've toured the classroom, found your child's cubby, and explored all the fun learning spaces, join us on the playground for ice cream as we celebrate the start of a new school year!

FREE Food Distribution TODAY!

📍 Clark Middle School
🕓 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Free food will be available for all children ages 18 and younger. Children must be present in the vehicle to receive food.

Chocolate milk (gallon jugs) will also be available while supplies last.

Vincennes Community Schools/Sodexo will be distributing weekend meal packs for children on Friday, June 19 from 4:00–6:00 PM at Clark Middle School.

EACH MEAL PACK INCLUDES:
• 2 breakfasts
• 2 lunches
(Menu is attached)

IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR PICKUP:
• This is open to all families
• No pre-registration this year
• First come, first serve
• Children must be present in the vehicle (this is a state requirement)

• Please enter and exit using the Richard Bauer Drive entrance
• The Main Street entrance will be closed
