Don't forget to bring your family to the Family Game Show Night with Jeff Veley tonight from 5:15-6:15 in Ader Auditorium. It's a great opportunity to spend some family time laughing and learning together!

Also, parents/guardians are invited to Laugh & Learn with Jeff tomorrow from 11:00-11:30 at Lincoln High School. We will learn how we can help our children with conflict resolution skills.

The VCSC is honored to have with us today and tomorrow, Mr. Jeff Veley as he shares his peace-making strategies with students and staff.

Jeff will be doing a family game night in Ader Auditorium at the high school from 5:15 to 6:15 this evening and then a Learn and Laugh tomorrow at the high school for parents and community youth workers tomorrow from 11:00 to 11:45.

Huge thank you to Ms. Vickers for her work in bringing Jeff to the VCSC.

Bullying is a topic that has generated more interest in recent years, as teachers, counselors and administrators try to keep pace in a constantly changing social environment.

Come join us for an interactive and fun Family Game Show Night on December 11th from 5:15-6:15 pm in Ader Auditorium at Lincoln High School! Families will learn and practice conflict resolution skills to help their students become confident in solving their social conflicts. It is a great opportunity to spend time together and have fun while playing games!

Parents and caregivers are invited to join us for “Laugh and Learn Lunch” on December 12th at Lincoln High School from 11:00-11:30 am to learn how to help their students identify and respond to aggression and resolve social conflicts. Snacks will be provided! Please bring your driver’s license to check in at the front desk. See you there!

The VCSC is happy to bring, Jeff Veley, a bullying prevention specialist, to bring fun and laughter while providing resilience education and conflict resolution skills. He’s been honored with two international awards and recognized as a Peace Ambassador by the United Nations for his effectiveness in conflict resolution. A social misfit turned social skills educator, Jeff is able to connect with kids from all walks of life and provide the skills necessary to overcome life’s challenges.

Jeff will be at each of the elementary schools, middle school, and high school on December 11th and 12th.

On December 11th, from 5:15-6:15 in Ader Auditorium, families are invited to attend a 60-minute action-packed presentation that includes music and plenty of audience participation to help empower students to resolve social conflicts.

On December 12th from 11-11:45 am, Parents are invited to a “Laugh and Learn Lunch” to learn how to help their students identify aggression, manage emotions, and resolve social conflicts. Snacks will be provided.

We are excited to be able to include our entire school and family community in this opportunity to have a positive experience learning how to help our students strengthen conflict resolution skills and be resilient and confident in handling social problems that arise.

The last couple of weeks we have brought awareness to two important topics, Red Rivbon Week and Unity Day! Last week during Red Ribbon Week, we learned important facts about how va**ng and other drug abuse affects our health and goals, participated in dress-up days, received a red ribbon and sweet treat, and wrote on red hearts why we want to be drug free. Those hearts were entered in for some fun prizes.

Today we wore orange to show we are UNITED for kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Students received Kindness Matters bracelets, and say boo to bullying stickers and suckers.

These days help open up communication about drug and bullying prevention!

Wear ORANGE on Tuesday, October 31st to show we are UNITED for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion! Students will be receiving a kindness bracelet and orange lollipop during lunch. 🧡
