STUDENT PARKING NOTICE – SKMHS

Effective immediately, students are required to park in the designated student parking lot and are no longer permitted to park in the parking spaces located closest to South Knox Middle/High School. These spaces are being reserved for visitors and for families dropping off and picking up students. The designated spaces will soon be clearly marked “Visitor”.

Any student who parks in these spaces will be asked to move their vehicle to the designated student parking lot. This change is being made to help keep these spaces available for visitors and families and to improve traffic flow at the end of the school day. Keeping these areas clear will help alleviate congestion caused by vehicles entering and leaving the school and will allow school buses to depart safely and efficiently. At times, after-school traffic has become congested enough to back up onto Highway 61, creating an additional safety concern.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in following the new parking procedure and helping us maintain a safer and more efficient traffic flow for students, families, visitors, and school buses.

A BIG thank you to our National Honor Society and all who donated blood yesterday.

SK’s drive collected 24 blood products to ultimately impact the lives of 72 Hoosier patients.

South Knox NHS is hosting a community blood drive this coming Monday, August 31st from 9 10 12. We are looking for students, parents, grandparents, friends, etc. to donate.
