With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of long time NCBA member and officer, Rich Mlynarski. Rich died on January 24, 2022 at the age of 72. He recently celebrated his 50th anniversary as director of bands at St.Thomas More Catholic School in Munster, Indiana, he also taught music in many of the Catholic schools in the Northwest area of Indiana. Rich was a long time active member of NCBA having served as Vice President from 1997 to 2002 and as President 2003 to 2006. Rich was an excellent musician and teacher and will be sorely missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church, 8501 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 4:00p.m. - 9:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Thomas More School in his memory would be appreciated.
