🎪🍿 The Circus Came to the Cafeteria! 🎪

Mrs. Tomei and Mr. Starnes had a blast serving lunch to our students for National School Lunch Week! They jumped right into the circus fun and put on quite a show! 🎉

Of course, the real professionals had to step in and save the day a time or two! 😂👏

A big thank you to our amazing cafeteria staff for keeping the fun going and our Wildcats fed! 💜💛🐾

Over the last few weeks, students in Coach B's 8th grade social studies classes have simulated being Georgia colonists by building their own towns on poster boards. They've been communicating, collaborating, and problem solving as they built their towns and certain simulation emergencies threaten to derail their towns.

On Friday, they were presented with a mystery illness that threatened their colonial towns and, given a list of symptoms and possible illnesses, they had to work together to figure out what the disease was, its cause, and how to avoid this disease in their town in the future. The only catch was they were not allowed to talk to each other to simulate "quarantining". Seeing how each group chose to creatively overcome this challenge was great to see!

We are so proud of some of our Jr. Beta members for volunteering their time this past Saturday night at the Journey Tribute Band Concert. The proceeds went to The Lions Club and they do so much to help our schools, including vision screening for children. Because of their willingness to serve, The Lions Club will be able to continue making a difference in our community. Way to go, wildcats!
