🚜🌾 WHAT A WEEK ON THE ROAD! Summer Ag Farm Tour Recap 🚌☀️

Our group just wrapped up an incredible summer farm tour seeing the absolute best of Georgia agriculture! We traveled from historic roots to cutting-edge innovations, learning directly from the people who keep our tables full.

Here is a quick look at our incredible stops:

🍑 Cooley Farms & Dickey's Peach Packing Plant: We got an insider look at the peach industry—from tree to table! Seeing the fast-paced packing lines at Dickey’s while enjoying some fresh Georgia peaches was an absolute highlight.

🌿 White Oak Pastures: A masterclass in regenerative farming! We learned how they balance cattle, poultry, and land management to radically rebuild the soil and create a truly zero-waste system.

🎓 ABAC (Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College) & the Georgia Museum of Agriculture: We wrapped up by exploring the future of ag education at ABAC and stepping back in time at the Ag Museum to see how farming built our communities.

A massive thank you to all the farmers, educators, and hosts who opened their doors to us. Our appreciation for where our food comes from has never been higher! 👩‍🌾👨‍🌾

⚡Fast Fact: North CCA students in the Accelerated Cosmetology pathway can begin building required training hours and industry skills while still in high school—reducing the time and cost needed after graduation to become licensed.

Through our partnership with West Georgia Technical College, students can also work toward industry-recognized certification while completing high school coursework, giving them a strong head start on licensure requirements.

That means students can save thousands in tuition by getting ahead on cosmetology training before ever stepping into a private cosmetology school.

Parents, that’s a smart investment in a creative, high-demand, income-producing career path. 💅✨

☀️ Summer Hours Update for North College & Career Academy! 🏫
Parents and students, please take note of our upcoming schedule modifications as we head into the summer break.

🗓️ Summer Schedule (May 26th – July 9th)
Days: Monday through Thursday (Closed Fridays)
Hours: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Please note: Teachers will not be available during these dates and times.

🔄 Return to Normal Office Hours (Starting July 13th)
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

🎒 Mark Your Calendars: The first day of school is August 6th!

We hope everyone has a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer. We can't wait to see all of our students back and ready to learn!
