The United States Christian Commission (Southeastern Branch)
The United States Christian Commission (Southeastern Branch) is a ministry to the reenacting community which provides material, physical and spiritual comfort, aid and support to the reenactors, spreads the message of the Gospels through active service to our fellow man and educates the public about the contributions and sacrifice of the original United States Christian Commission in the Civil War
At Reenactments or Living History events, the United States Christian Commission will:
* Provide a Soldier’s Rest Station with beverages and food *
* Host/assist with Sunday services and/or prayer meetings *
* Provide a battlefield impression as a chaplain, hospital steward, or as a field dressing station *
* Make period tracts and other spiritual literature available to interested individuals *
* Make presentations to spectators about the USCC, Chaplains, and Religion in the Civil War *
* Be an opportunity for your civilian reenactors to get more involved with the event *
* The USCC will also be available for events outside of the reenacting world, such as revivals, “Old-Tyme Sunday” services, and presentations at local churches and organizations *
Please help this impression and ministry to be successful by welcoming and including the USCC at your local events during this Reenactment year
