Today we had the incredible opportunity to present to the BPS School Board alongside Voltage, Pink, ComBBAT, and Horsepower. With members from every FRC teams across Brevard County all in one place, we stood united to represent FIRST and advocate for further support.

So grateful this came together, thank you to everyone who showed up! A special thank you to Dr. Rendell for making this possible and for believing in FIRST. Excited to see what comes next!

Orlando Regional 2026 - WOW! It went by so fast. Wingspan had an incredible time this past weekend. Our students had so much fun connecting with other teams and even speaking with judges, it was an absolute blast!

We’re thrilled to share that our very own Coach Erin was named the Woodie Flowers Finalist, and our Business Director Kirsten was selected as one of just two Dean’s List Finalists!

The level of gracious professionalism we experienced truly inspired our team. It’s been a very tough season for us, and we wouldn’t be here without the support of , , , , and so many others, so THANK YOU!

Here’s to continuing to improve our robot and performance in the weeks ahead. Next stop: Tallahassee Regional!

20 DAYS UNTIL OUR FIRST 2026 COMPETITION!!

All members across the team have been working incredibly hard these past few weeks to catch up and get ready for competition. Mechanical has been pushing to get the robot finished soon so software can begin testing and alignment. Operations has been working on the Impact presentation and finalizing business plan for judging.

This past week, we hosted our very first STEM Innovation and Community Achievements (SICA) celebration for STEM clubs at our school! We got to hear from several different clubs while sharing more about Wingspan. Everyone enjoyed holiday games, learning how to make buttons and paper circuits, and getting hands on with last year’s competition robot, Spike. We hope everyone had a blast, and we truly appreciate all the support!

December has been a busy month for Wingspan! We had an amazing time at our schools freshman club night and Suntree Elementary’s STEM Night, and we wrapped up the month with our holiday party. Our mechanical and software teams have also been hard at work building and programming our new outreach bot, Junkyard, named for being made from recycled parts we already had. We hope everyone has a great break before build season starts and can’t wait to get going!
