We discovered a butterfly on the playground and took a closer look at its beautiful colors and unique shape. We talked about how pretty it was, then giggled with excitement as we chased it and watched it flutter away. A simple outdoor moment became a wonderful opportunity to explore nature, spark curiosity, and learn through play! 🌼💛

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
