Nothing kicks off a new school year like teamwork!

Brevard EdTech had a fantastic time at Gemini Elementary on the teachers’ first day back, leading a Breakout EDU team-building challenge. Teachers worked together to solve puzzles, crack codes, and uncover the missing piece for classroom engagement.

It was an exciting way to build collaboration, sharpen problem-solving skills, and start the year with energy and a shared focus on creating engaging learning experiences for students. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things the Gemini Elementary team accomplishes this year. Have a wonderful school year!

Brevard Teachers enjoyed the BrevardEdTech Connect: Mini-Conference on July 15 and 16! Our Technology Integrators and Digital Learning Leaders hosted a Science/STEM Make-and-Take and STEM breakout sessions, and Sphero delivered a wonderful robotics session to support our K-12 teachers. We sincerely thank Lockheed Martin, for supporting our Science/STEM Tech Ambassador Mentorship Program! Your investment empowers teachers with STEM-focused professional learning, mentorship, technology integration, and real-world science experiences that inspire students across Brevard Public Schools!

STEM, conservation, and a day full of learning!

Our Tech Integrators had a great experience at the 2026 Everglades Teacher Symposium. They got to explore the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary, learn about Florida’s native wildlife and conservation efforts, and put their engineering skills to the test by designing wildlife STEM bridges.

We’re excited to bring these real-world learning opportunities back to classrooms across our district.

had an amazing time visiting Mrs. Justin’s 4th, 5th, and 6th grade Media classes at John F. Turner Elementary! Students participated in a Minecraft Education Book Challenge that combined reading, creativity, design, and technology in incredible ways.

Brevard Ed Tech introduced the challenge, and the students truly ran with it! Over the past few weeks, students designed detailed book covers inspired by books they read this year. Once their covers were complete, they took their projects even further by creating scenes from the books, character designs, and setting vignettes inside Minecraft Education.

The creativity, attention to detail, and hard work these students demonstrated was outstanding. Their projects brought literature to life in such imaginative ways, and we are so proud of what they accomplished!

Andersen Elementary School 5th graders took on the same challenge as the 6th grade did and designed attachments to capture “meteors” on the moon! They used Sphero RVR robots and Blueprint kits on the Aldrin Family Foundation moon maps!
