In April of 1969, nine painters met and formed the Vienna Arts Society. The Vienna Arts Society Inc. was organized the following month in Vienna, VA. W. E.Curtis.

The Vienna Arts Society's purpose is to bring together area artists to share interests, to enrich their own experience in art and to make contributions to the community. At their first formal meeting in May, they elected Valerie Elmore their President. In their first year they exhibited art work at the First Virginia Bank at Tyson’s Corner, and held the first juried show the ‘Treasury of Art Exhib

Always such a joy to honor the amazing artists of Fairfax County High Schools. Representative James Walkinshaw awarded certificates to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. The First Place Winner's piece will hang in the walkway between the Capitol and House and Senate building for a year

Congratulations to our member Ronnie Offen
"Illumination" won 1st Place in the Masters division in the Southeastern Pastel Society's 2023 spring show. The award was given by the Modern Pastel Society of Japan. The MPS of J has decided to feature the paintings that received their award for the past few years in venues in Japan. So "Illumination" will be shown with the other winners at the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum from 4/26-5/2, and at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts from 5/5-5/10.
