Thank you Wildcats for making this year great! We celebrated all of our students today as they were promoted to the next grade after Mass. We said some hard goodbyes to staff who are off to new adventures next year and we were delighted with one last performance from our Kindergarten led by Mrs. Chan! See you in August Wildcats!
The weather didn’t stop us from making today a great day! We played all day and Seventh Grade ended the day with a Co****le Championship!
Congratulations to our 6th grade Wildcat whose essay, “The Ferocious Memphis Tigers”, won the 6th Grade Writing Workshop March Madness Writing Tournament. Competing in their own version of March Madness this past trimester, each student was assigned a team selected for the 2023 NCAA tournament and composed a persuasive essay based on the prompt: “March Madness has taken over the country. Your team has a chance to be the next NCAA champion!” Students researched the characteristics that made their team destined to win the championship and wrote from the point of view as their team’s biggest fan. In order to keep moving forward in the bracket and making it to the Final Four or refining their essays if they did not advance in their bracket, students edited and revised their writing before each round of the competition.
Thank you to Mr. Stephen Ng for saying yes and giving his time to work with our Wildcat choir!
Congratulations Class of 2023!
The 5th Grade Math Challengers finished off the year strong by using all of their learned knowledge on their last challenge. Amazing job, everyone! 📚✏️🎓
Now that the end of the school year approaches, it's yearbook season! This year's yearbook program has achieved the Jostens 2023 National Yearbook Program of Excellence award at the Gold Level. The National Yearbook Program of Excellence recognizes engaging yearbooks that reflect a broad representation of the student body while helping students develop 21st century skills such as communication, collaboration, and information and communication technologies (ICT) literacy. The award was presented to the OLGC yearbook program for achieving defined criteria in all three of the following categories: creating an inclusive yearbook, generating school engagement, and successfully managing the yearbook creation process. This is the fourth consecutive year that OLGC's yearbook program has earned this award. Congratulations to the yearbook staff on this accomplishment and thank you to Ms. Gonzales, Mrs. Degano, Mrs. Kahng, and the 8th grade student editors for their leadership this year
What a way to end the week!
One of our most special OLGC traditions is Prayer Partners. Our 8th and 1st graders made the most incredible bonds this year creating projects together, playing together, and praying together! These memories will last a lifetime!

Ms. Gonzales would like to thank all of the students for their hard work and creativity as well as the parents and other student volunteers who helped with various aspects of putting together this play, like set painting, costume design, and providing snacks to the student thespians!
