A big thank you to our friends at Rustic Love Vienna for their generous donation to help feed students in need at our Food4Thought Partner School Marshall Road Elementary School in Vienna! The caring staff and parent volunteers inspired us to launch Food4Thought in 2011, and they were our first partner school.

Hello everyone,

My family just moved here from NY. My son David will be going to Marshall school this year. I was wondering how the after care program works? And if there’s other alternatives? Because as I saw on the fairfax website it said you could be on the waitlist but not sure when will my child will be getting in, so I’m a lot concerned as I work and I need to have someone who can take care of my child after school. Please kindly advise
Thank you

TODAY, Tuesday, March 9th we are DINING FOR DOLLARS to support Marshall Road Elementary School PTA! Come in for breakfast, lunch or dinner ! For carry-out, call 703-938-9548 or order on-line www.viennainn.com and put MRES in the notes section.

I have a question with regard to tomorrow’s (11/30) asynchronous day. I have a child at thoreau & MRES. Is MRES only having the asynchronous day tomorrow or all of FCPS? In the text I received I would have thought it was for both my kids. If specific to MRES I think the text/email/communication should state that. School is hard enough and now I’m trying to figure out who has what tomorrow. Thanks for your help!
Below was in the MRES email and a text I received which I presumed was from FCPS but maybe just MRES. Again appreciate the help!
Calendar Reminder: Schools and Offices Closed November 25-27 for Thanksgiving Holiday

Missing the Roadrunners! Got this guy in honor of MRES.
So the options are 100% distance learning or 2 days a week in school and 2 days a week distance learning... how about 4 days in school??? Distance learning DOES NOT work for my kids. Is 4 days a week even an option???

Welcome to the Marshall Road Elementary School PTA page! Here we will post relevant information such

✨Do you have a student interested in participating in Odyssey of the Mind? Please reach out! ✨

Odyssey of the Mind is an international program where children learn creative problem-solving techniques. Students learn to identify a problem, brainstorm solutions, evaluate ideas, select the best one, and then develop it. You can learn more on the Odyssey of the Mind website (www.odysseyofthemind.com) or the Nova North site (www.novanorth.org/wp/?page_id=1274), which is the branch that oversees OM in our region. (Guía del Programa en Espanol: https://www.odysseyofthemind.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Guia-del-Programa-2022-2023.pdf)

We have an experienced parent who has volunteered to coach a Primary team (K-2nd) and a Level 1 team (3rd-5th). Each team can have up to 7 students. Teams will meet before school starting in September and then continue to practice through spring. If you think your student may be interested in participating and is available for the yearlong commitment, or if you’d simply like to learn more, please email Renee at [email protected] and we will put you in touch with the coach.

If we have additional parents that are willing to coach, we can create additional teams and open the program up to more students. If you’re interested in coaching, please email Renee.
