"Carla is a speech language pathologist and partner of Reading and Language Learning Center and earned a Master’s degree in Communications Science and Disorders from the University of Pittsburgh. She has been providing evaluations and remediation services for individuals with a variety of communication disorders since 1993. Ms. Askew is fully licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as DC. he is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Ms. Askew is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and holds a certification as a Structured Literacy Teacher from The Center For Effective Reading Instruction since 2018."

"Susan is a speech language pathologist and partner of the Reading and Language Learning Center. Ms. Danker holds a Master’s degree in Communications Science and Disorders from Radford University, a Bachelor of Science in Communications Science and Disorders from Radford University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Tech. She has been treating adults and children demonstrating disorders in phonology, articulation, language, reading and fluency since 1999. She also has experience with individuals exhibiting hearing impairments, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders as well as emotionally impaired children. Ms Danker is fully licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as well as DC. She is a member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA). Ms. Danker is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA) and holds a certification as a Structured Literacy Teacher from The Center For Effective Reading Instruction since 2018."

RLLC is excited to announce that we are an approved vendor for the VDOE K-12 Learning Acceleration Grant!

If your child's learning was affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic, you can submit an application for funds toward educational services.

Because we are an approved vendor, you can use these funds towards your one-on-one therapy, or sign up for one of our summer programs! They are a great way to prepare your child for the school year and use your grant money effectively!
