What an awesome day to end our Fall Week of Prayer. Thank you Pastor Karla Parducci and Mike Onoffrey for a wonderful week of pure ministry from the heart. She spoke on Dare to Love which is Agape in Greek. Our Agape Feast was fantastic. We wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving.

We also celebrated Coach Best 70th Birthday and announced the winners of the 5K Logo competition.

Today, the 8th Graders delivered 82 Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes sponsored by Samaritans Purse. This is our second year participating in this program to help provide gifts to needy children around the world. A special thank you to CPC and Vienna Spanish Pathfinders for helping out in this endeavor.

Also, on this Thankful Thursday, Principal Holland made lunch (homemade vegetable soup, grilled cheese sandwiches, and lemon cake) for her teachers and staff. Perfect for the chilly weather.

We had a special guest today our Superintendent of Potomac Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Steve Laing. He read to our lower grades and will be back to hang out with our middle schoolers.

We are excited to announce the 2nd Annual Home & School 5K Logo Design Contest. VAA students designed logos and a panel of judges has narrowed it down to the top 5 designs. Help us select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place price who will receive cash prizes. Note: 1st place will also be the VAA Home & School 5K Logo for the fun run/walk in April 2025.

Our Theme: Dare to Be Fit, Well, You! This theme is focused on encouraging participants to embrace their individual journeys towards health and wellness, celebrating diversity in fitness levels and personal goals.

Please vote by liking your favorite design! Voting will end on November 21st at 4 PM EST. Winner will be announced on November 22nd.

Our long awaited trip to see Daniel at Sight & Sound was all we hoped for! What an amazing spirit-filled show. Our students, staff, and parents enjoyed. Next year, Noah!

Banana Split Sundaes for the recipients of the Principal’s List!! Congratulations! 🎈 And popsicles for our Honor Roll recipients! Keep up the good work.

And The first and second grade class talked about what it means to vote and the importance of making your voice heard as a citizen. They read “Grace for President”. A book that shows the importance of every vote and the value of hard work and courage. The class then got to decorate their own Election Day crown to celebrate.

What an awesome a Hispanic Heritage Month. A special thank you to Mrs. Bonilla for organizing another fantastic program!! As always it was beautiful to celebrate our Hispanic students and their rich culture. We feel so blessed to be a part of such a diverse and vibrant community.

We also surprised and appreciated Principal Holland for Principal Appreciation month. We are thankful for her dedication to VAA.
