Raggedy Ann misses everyone from Tiny Tots Village / Vienna Village. Who remembers where she was located in the school? Fun Fact: This Raggedy Ann was handmade by Joyce’s brother, George, when she first opened the school in 1968

It is with great sadness that we share the news of Joyce Decker’s passing. To some, Joyce was the smiling face who greeted each child with a warm hug and took the time to talk to parents as they came in the door, to others she was a counselor who was always ready to listen and offer guidance and support. Joyce loved the children in the care of her school and enthusiastically encouraged and followed their educational and personal growth, while at the school and beyond. Many came back to visit, or to bring their own children or to work for the school. To all of the children who have come to Tiny Tots over the 50+ years it served the community, and to the parents and employees, know that Joyce loved you all and the little school that brought us all together.
Please share comments or photos, we would love to hear from you!
Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church on December 10th at 11:00AM, 9970 Vale Road, Vienna, VA 22181. All are welcome to attend. A reception will be held immediately following.

The red building was knocked down today. Please help keep Vienna Tiny Tots Village memories alive by posting pictures and memories. We will read them all to Joyce :-)
Hard to believe so many years of love went into these buildings and they are gone in the blink of an eye

It is with much sadness in our hearts that we are to announce that after 53 years in business, Vienna’s Tiny Tots Village will be shutting down its operations effective March 31, 2021. This is more than just a simple business closing announcement for us. Tiny Tots was founded in 1968 when Joyce gave birth to twins while already having 3 older children. Living on just a Policeman's salary she needed to find a way to help make ends meet. Fast forward a half century later and we are still here because of the countless Vienna families that trusted us to care for and help raise their children. We were always very blessed to have such a devoted staff over the years, and we would like to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has made this place so special. It was simply the pleasure of a lifetime seeing all the smiling faces and the laughing voices of the children every day. We will always remember you.
