A new, old way of learning at a deeper level through guided self-discovery...

We assert that:

there are right answers and wrong answers – people need to discover what is right and what is wrong on their own, not have the answers dictated by an instructor, a textbook, or a news anchor

instructors should not be asking exam questions – people should write their own questions for an exam, then answer those questions in ways that express and reinforce their insights into what

Looking to the Past to Co-Create the Future 07/06/2026

s the digital world races on unabated, if we pause and reflect for a moment, we might just catch glimpses of an almost forgotten era—a world in which ancient wisdom in the fields of medicine, building construction, agriculture, and the like is still practiced among remote, indigenous populations

Welcome to the wild, wonderful world of...knowledge alchemy—ancient alchemy combined with human sensory awareness and innate, curiosity-driven search and discovery, with a tribal, highly tacit knowledge management component thrown in…

As more ancient texts become digitized and translated, let’s go all-in, combining those priceless knowledge artifacts with our modern body of research - imagine the innovative breakthroughs just waiting to be unleashed…

Looking to the Past to Co-Create the Future As more ancient texts become digitized and translated, let's go all-in by using human-augmented AI, combining ancient knowledge artifacts with our modern body of research. And let's not just be confined to one or two disciplines. Infinitely large numbers of breakthrough innovations even more impactf...

If We're Truly in the Knowledge Age, Why Is Higher Education in Crisis? 03/10/2026

My 125th article in the series - this one inspired by conversations with Miles "High-Def" Davis, Adam Clayton Powell III, and Paul Stephen Prueitt

If We're Truly in the Knowledge Age, Why Is Higher Education in Crisis? Clearly, both traditional college degrees and specialized trade certifications are too narrow and fragmented to fully prepare students for what lies ahead. For now, a hybrid system is emerging that balances the arts and the sciences, augmented by one or more areas of specialization. KM's multidiscip...

Secondary education and workforce transformation at the grassroots level, and leading the way is….

Pakistan!

Had a great session with students and faculty of the Rehan School– the questions they asked were in many ways more challenging than what I get when conducting workshops with college-degreed professionals

Keep an eye on what’s happening in this country and its burgeoning young entrepreneurial population, its incubators, and schools

These young walas and walis are ready, willing and able to succeed in an AI World, and are an excellent example of what’s possible for any nation, so-called “developing” or otherwise…

How Lenny Kravitz Keeps Flying 11/14/2025

And speaking of having many more than five or six senses…Grammy Award-winning artist Lenny Kravitz definitely uses them…

“Ideas flit through space, and my job is to be an antenna, to capture them. I’m trying to pick up on what’s floating out there. It’s given to me, and my job is to make it happen. I’ll play all the instruments, do what I have to do. But it came from somewhere else. Didn’t come from me…”

How Lenny Kravitz Keeps Flying A look at Lenny Kravitz’s journey, from his groundbreaking music career to his global design projects, and how he stays inspired through it all.

Human Evolution in a Digital World 11/12/2025

As the evolution of computer technology continues to rapidly advance into the quantum realm, we as humans need to jump-start the acceleration of our own evolution, which has been stuck in neutral for far too long

We can start by breaking free of the limiting and false belief that we only have five senses, when in fact we have dozens more, afferent, efferent, and both, waiting to be re-awakened…

Human Evolution in a Digital World Human senses play a critical role in group interaction and collaboration, a key aspect of KM.

SLOUCHING TOWARD SLOPOCALYPSE 10/08/2025

Great article by former NASA Director Dan Goldin about the cognitive debt we’ve been accumulating alongside the so-called “evolution” of technology

His reference to the slide rule, which I used in my engineering studies and early work days, is a great case in point in that it presents a visualization of the nonlinear scales involved, a whole-brain-thinking element mostly missing from today’s education and work environments

Now that I’m all fired up about this, just for fun, I’m going to dig up my old Smith Chart slide rule…gee, thanks, Dan! 😅

SLOUCHING TOWARD SLOPOCALYPSE Which way, America? Slouching toward slopocolypse, or striving for the stars?

A System of Systems With a Twist 09/15/2025

When done the right way, humans and AI working together perform better than either one alone – welcome to the wild, wonderful world of...cognitive ecosystems
https://www.kmworld.com/Articles/Columns/The-Future-of-the-Future/A-System-of-Systems--With-a-Twist-171181.aspx

A System of Systems With a Twist Many long-standing technologies such as swarm intelligence, biomimicry, neural networks, and the like are now being stitched together. Think of what could happen if each of those technologies interacted not only with each other but also with the environment at large, its living and artificial elemen...

In a world increasingly obsessed with AI, we have the opportunity to tap into a far more powerful, quantum-level technology for acquiring knowledge at the deepest level

We're talking about the human neurophysiology, including all twelve cranial senses, and potentially many more extra-cranial senses enabled by over 3 dozen additional pairs of nerves

Best of all…it’s free!

It’s also extremely user-friendly, requiring only two easy steps:
1) Go out into a quiet spot in nature in the presence of negative ions, and free of 60Hz and any of the Gs (4G, 5G, 6G, etc.)
2) Be still

Rinse and repeat…

Life in the Virtual Trenches 07/07/2025

It’s been said many times: "Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it" – yet here we are

What if instead of just reading about it, we were to experience history as it actually unfolded…

Life in the Virtual Trenches Immersive Learning - The applications in education are obvious. But you can build use cases for almost any domain.
