Hyde Music Services & Instruction aims to foster personal growth and enrichment by bringing music to families and individuals in the Northern Virginia area. VJ Hyde is an experienced music teacher and board-certified music therapist who has been providing individualized music services for over fifteen years. He offers group and individual lessons for guitar, bass, drums and piano. 30, 45 and 60 minutes lessons are offered for students ages 5 to adult. Additionally, if you are interested in music therapy services for children, adolescents or adults, VJ Hyde is a practicing music therapist who has experience working with individuals and groups with motor delays, intellectual and/or developmental disorders, ADHD, depression/ anxiety, and major mental illness. Regardless of the service(s) you are seeking, VJ Hyde takes an individualized approach to ensure great results and long-lasting outcomes. VJ has been providing music lessons and therapy in the Washington-DC/ NOVA area for the past ten years. He has performed solo and with several local bands throughout that time in addition to recording and producing several albums. Prior to moving to this area, he was music therapist and educator in Chicago. During this time, he was also a teacher at the Music Institute of Chicago and was a commissioned composer for children's musical theater. VJ holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Therapy with a focus on music psychotherapy. He is currently working towards obtaining his Virginia Teacher's license.
