I will be in and out of the preschool this week cleaning up and cleaning out my personal stuff. Kind of bittersweet to say goodbye to such a great opportunity. Special thanks to the board for hiring me and to all the families who have enriched my life over these last five years. I will be closing out this page at the end of the week and wanted to take a moment to thank all the followers who have been a part of this journey. May God bless us all with a future filled with hope and love!

And just like that it's over! Thanks to everyone (there's a lot of you) that made yesterday one of my favorite last days of school. The three year olds were so amazing and I loved their version of Let it Go! The four year olds could not have been more perfect if they tried! So proud of the progress each of these kiddos have made this year and hoping that you all can enjoy a wonderful, energetic, fun filled Summer!

Today is the DAY! I'm not sure who is more excited, me or the students. Last night I walked into church and was greeted heartily by THREE of my students! Oh how sweet to have the adoration of a little child. I really love these kids and it has been such a great year in so many ways! Today is bittersweet because we will not only be celebrating the end of the year for the students, but my "graduation" from being a preschool teacher (sniff, sniff). I have loved this job SOOOO much and the families and kiddos make all the hard work worth it! So as we head into today's activities (listed below), know that you are loved and let's have a great celebration!

9-10 Fours Practice in Auditorium
10-11:30 Threes last day of class
11:30-12:15 Threes last day picnic/program
6:15 Fours arrive and go straight to classroom
6:20 Preshow in auditorium
6:30 Graduation Ceremony
Reception will follow graduation in the Fellowship Hall!

Beach day was a resounding success! The students were great and we all had a wonderful time together (even if they did keep soaking me with water!) The rain held off til after clean up time and I'm so thankful for a couple of parents that stayed to help clean up while their boys enjoyed extra play time! Graduation is tomorrow! It's gonna be a BIG day!

Is that sun I see behind that cloud? Don't forget cloudy days can cause the worst burns! Sunscreen is a must! We are planning to forge ahead. If it starts raining (not if it storms) we may stay outside to enjoy it (what kid doesn't like to play in the rain?!) See ya in a couple of hours! Almost ready!

Beach Day is almost upon us (a few hours away) I am having faith that the weather will cooperate until we are done! Don't forget we don't start until 9:30. Come already sunscreened with suit on under clothes/cover up as we are practicing a little before heading outside. Parents can meet us on the playground for lunch at Noon. Fun times ahead! Gotta love preschool!

Just a reminder that the graduation fee of $5 is due tomorrow. This fee is just a small amount of the funds it takes to pull together a great celebration! Special thanks to the VCNS Board for all of their support this time of year!

Countdown to the last few days of school is on and we are getting so excited for our end of the year plans. Here is an overview of our week next week:

Monday-Regular school day (no backpacks or toys)
Tuesday-Last full school day for threes
Wednesday-BEACH DAY (fours will wear swim clothes and enjoy time in the sun and water!) We will begin at 9:30 (note time change) with some graduation practice before heading outside
CLASS COOKOUT (we will have a cookout on the playground following beach day at Noon)
Thursday-BIG DAY (Graduation practice for fours 9 -10, shortened last day for threes from 10-11:30 followed by a sack lunch with the parents on the playground and a short program in auditorium, Graduation will be at 6:30 that evening for the four year olds and their families followed by a reception in the fellowship hall)

Gotta brag on our fours a little. We had A LOT to accomplish today and they did IT ALL! So proud of them and the practice was great! Sometimes this group blows me away, just when you think they are crazy energetic and wild, they totally pull through! Good day at the preschool, tiring, but very good!

Every day, starting today we will be practicing for graduation with the fours. It's getting so close! Looking forward with excitement to all the festivities! Gotta love preschool!

Hard to believe we only have a few days left of school with our three year olds! Look for an important note about our last day of school next Thursday in your child's backpack today. Thanks for sharing your little ones with us this year!
