Hello to all of our amazing followers and families!

Vienna Learning Center will officially close its doors February 23, 2024 - almost 4 years to the date we opened February 20, 2020.

The center will continue to operate as Busy Hands Childcare Center, reopening March 4, 2024.

What a ride it was! We opened one week before the world shut down for the worldwide pandemic. We were excited to be able to offer quality care to essential workers during that time.

We grew our business from 5 kids when we opened to full capacity of 46.

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, and after much reflection, I decided to remove things from my plate that caused me stress and running a business was one of those.

I won’t go into the details, but sometimes the agencies meant to help others steal the joy from those of us who are truly helpers. So, after much reflection, I decided to close the business and return to a field where my talents, experience and character are applauded and celebrated.

I hope those that make decisions at the state level will take steps to better serve those who serve others ♥️

I don’t regret any of the time spent developing staff, serving families and just sharing so much fun and laughter with our families and staff who have become family.

With that, best wishes to all of our families and staff and to the new owners Jen and Brian Sims!

I look forward to continuing to serve the community and you all in other ways 🧡 Thank you for all you have given to me and my family throughout the past 4 years.

We had so much fun at our annual Christmas party with staff and their families 🧡🎄🧡 Jen and I loved hosting our final event together as VLC transitions into Busy Hands Childcare Center.

Down the Hatchet 🪓 was a fun environment for our staff and the crew there was so friendly and accommodating! 10/10 recommend.

We hope our staff has a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We appreciate you everyday 🧡

Vienna Learning Center, in conjunction with Busy Hands Child Care Center, is asking for your help in sponsoring two children from our area for Christmas. If we all work together, we can give these children a Merrier Christmas 🎄

Donations can be dropped off at the center M-F 6 am - 6 pm or Darlene can meet you if you send a private message.

We have adopted two boys - ages 6 and 7

Good Morning Vienna Learning Center family! I wanted to share some news about the future of Vienna Learning Center.

It has been an amazing 4 years exploring business ownership while loving your kiddos and providing jobs to so many in the Mid-Ohio Valley. However, this year has come with a lot of self reflection.

I wanted to share with our families and the public that I am currently pursuing my masters of science in counseling and want to focus heavily on that. Unfortunately business ownership doesn’t give me much time to devote to my studies.

At this time, I would like to announce that Director Jennifer Sims is making moves to purchase the center and will reopen in 2024 at Busy Hands Child Care Center! I’m so excited for her to expand her business and move VLC forward. Please be sure to like her page below.

I will be transitioning into a few roles that better allow me to concentrate on school while also continuing to serve my community. 🧡 In December, I will begin my position as Director of The Boys and Girls Club of Parkersburg and also will be working with an organization to offer training for businesses in our area or people in need of business skills.

I want to thank God, my family and friends, and all of our former and current VLC staff and families for always being supportive of me. My heart is in serving the community and I hope this new adventure will allow me to use my gifts and talents to best serve others.

Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all of you and may 2024 be your best year yet.
