We are currently running a fundraiser to help raise money for our Culinary Arts program and the Pirate Cafe. The donations will be used for chef coats, cooking equipment, travel expenses, and supplies for labs. Unfortunately, our Culinary Arts program struggles to raise the funds necessary to offset the growing costs and we are looking to our families, friends, and community for help. Please take 5 minutes and donate whatever you can; even the smallest donation makes a difference. Each participant has an individual goal of raising $500.00 for the fundraiser, so please donate so that they may accomplish it.

Advance Culinary had their first meal today in the brand new Pirate Cafe serving teacher lunches!!! On today's menu was Cheesy Chicken Spaghetti with a side salad, garlic bread stick and chocolate chip cookie. All the kids did a great job!! We can't wait to see everyone next week!

Since the beginning of the year our 2nd and 3rd year culinary students have been studying and preparing for their ServSafe Managers Certification. The ServSafe Manager Certification verifies that a manager or person-in-charge has sufficient food safety knowledge to protect the public from foodborne illness, how to prevent it and how to train employees in food sanitation. With this Certification these students will be able to obtain a higher paid position in the food service industry.

Halloween Cakes, Finally!! We were behind a week on making the cake due to bad weather days the week of Halloween, but the kids got them done. The cakes were done by my 2nd year Culinary classes and I must say they did a great job!! Which is your favorite??
