What if the goal of school wasn’t to prepare children for the next test, but to prepare them to learn?

Montessori students aren’t moved through material because the calendar says it’s time. Lessons are presented, and students work with concepts until they understand it. Because learning is more than memorization, it’s understanding why the answer is correct!

When teachers can respond to the individual child rather than asking everyone to move at the same pace, it opens up an entirely different way of thinking about what school can be.

Montessori lessons are cross-curricular. History can lead into geography, writing, science, art, or math. Subjects connect because learning connects.

This gives students more ownership over their education. They aren’t only learning because the material will be on a test. They are learning to ask questions and make connections about things they love and care about.

Last night was such an amazing prayer service as so many members of our living hope family and Cornerstone Church Natchez family came together to pray over the grounds!
We worshiped together and invited the Holy Spirit to show up all over this property!
You could hear prayers being lifted up to heaven all through the building, as well as the nature trail!

Choosing a school for your child comes with a lot to consider! A holistic approach to education considers how your child feels about learning, how well they are known, how they interact with others, and the values they practice every day.

These are questions every family deserves to ask, and questions the Montessori method is intentionally designed to answer!

Which question matters most to your family? 💚

One thing we like to do before we start teaching any student, is beginning the process of getting to know them!

One of the best ways to get to know someone’s heart, is listening to their prayers, and praying with them!

At Living Hope Montessori, we are thankful for the parents who invest in our school community!

Today we want to give a huge THANK YOU to Mr. Brandon Donohue, who recently volunteered his time helping us knock out some much-needed projects around campus! He arranged for us to use a man lift at absolutely no cost to the school, cleaned out our gutters and fixed them so they would drain properly, and painted the trim around our new windows!

Those hours of hard work saved our school both time and money, to re-invest into the children, and helped us continue making Living Hope a beautiful place for our students to learn and grow.

Brandon, thank you for giving your time, resources, and hard work to Living Hope! We appreciate you!!

Parents, we would love to hear from you!

Finish this sentence: “I wish my child’s school understood that my child ________.”
If every child is actually different, unique, learns differently, and starts from a different place, why is everything they will do all year already pre-determined before their first day of school?
A lot of what we do during the first weeks at Living Hope is get to know each child, who they are, where they are academically, and what subjects and topics excite them. From there, we begin creating a more personal academic roadmap to help them reach the next stage.

What an incredible way to kick off a new school year!

Yesterday’s Open House was full of excitement as we welcomed back familiar faces and had the opportunity to meet so many of our NEW Living Hope families! Our students got their first look at their updated classrooms, met their teachers, reconnected with friends, and explored all of the amazing changes that happened around campus this summer!

There’s something special about seeing our school come back to life with students and families filling the halls again.

We are SO excited for everything this year has in store!

Welcome back to Living Hope Montessori, let’s make it an amazing year!

🌟 STAFF SPOTLIGHT 🌟

Meet Ms. Kasi Cader, our lead Middle School teacher for the new Living Hope Montessori World Scholars program!

Ms. Kasi brings more than 20 years of teaching experience in middle and high school education to our students. She holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership and is certified through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies as a Montessori Administrator. Many of our longtime Living Hope families will also remember Ms. Kasi from her previous time serving as our Head of School!

Ms. Kasi brings an incredible amount of experience to our new World Scholars program. As she leads our Middle School students, she’ll be helping them take their education beyond the classroom through community partnerships!

And a fun fact about Ms. Kasi, she also owns a travel agency! Her experience will be especially exciting as she helps us plan the immersive Costa Rica experience for our World Scholars!

We are so thankful to have Ms. Kasi back at Living Hope and excited for the experience, leadership, and adventurous spirit she brings to our Middle School students. We can’t wait to see where this year takes them!
