Do you have a student playing sports in grades 5-12?

Remember, sports physicals are required to practice or play sports at McKenzie, grades 5-12, and need to be renewed every two years.

High School fall sports first available practice date is 8/15/2022.

Junior high sports will start after school begins.

Community partner, Orchid Health is offering sports physicals on 8/8/2022. See their information below or call (541)822-3341 for more information.

The next day (Tomorrow, Thursday, 4/23/2020), we will encourage students, parents, teachers, and fans to participate in this initiative. On the OSAA Live mobile app, we have created FanCam filters for everyone to show their school pride. You will have the ability to easily post them on your personal social media accounts.𝙊𝙎𝘼𝘼 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙛𝙛 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙨𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙥𝙞𝙘𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 𝙊𝙎𝘼𝘼 𝙉𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙜𝙚𝙖𝙧. As many of you are aware, we have been working to fundraise for new uniforms for the boys and girls junior high teams! We have raised $2180 and are 73% of the way to our $3000 goal. Are you able or do you know someone who may be able to help us reach our goal? Donations can be dropped off to Brent Meister at the high school office with checks made payable to McKenzie River Community School (please specify basketball uniforms in the subject line).These new uniforms would help foster team unity at McKenzie, which in turn could help keep our young students motivated to succeed. Regular activity not only can help with physical health, but also can reduce stress, anxiety and behavioral problems (inside and outside the classroom). Our hope is that by boosting the team morale at McKenzie, we can get more kids interested in sports and ultimately build not only unity within the team but a stronger sense of community at the school and beyond! We will update our thermometer as new donations come in!
