We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Chris from CM SchoolSupplies for making a special visit to the child development center with everyone’s favorite “Pete the Cat!” Chris also kicked off our first staff meeting of the yr by sharing creative family engagement involvement and increasing father/male participation. It’s been so exciting seeing so many familiar and new faces this first week of school. We are ready to begin this new journey with you all. This week staff and children have been working on building relationships, learning classroom routines, and becoming comfortable in their new environment.

Students enrolled in CHDV 110: Principles and Practices of teaching young children at Victor Valley College developed a meaningful family and community engagement activity designed to support an inclusive approach to early childhood education while integrating intentional curriculum planning.

Day 1 of Teacher Appreciation at the child development center. Children and families were invited to leave a message for their teachers to create an Appreciation mural. Teachers were also gifted a “Turtley Awesome 🐢” keychain as a reminder of how amazing they are
